![]() Chocolate Balls |

Marie's party last night was fun. A motley crew as always, tandoori chicken and won tons and empinadas and kosher pasta. I made Elizabeth's chocolate peanut butter balls and the chocolate chip cream cheese ball and both were hits. ![]() This morning I woke up and decided all I wanted to do was stay in bed and watch Angels in America all day, but I was clearly deluding myself, because the moment I stepped outside I knew I had to stay there. I took the dogs on an hour and a half walk around the lakes in shorts and a tank top and never felt the slightest chill. My only problem was Zuko. Shocker. He stops every five seconds to pee, after which he is compelled to kick his legs backwards in some ridiculous attempt to cover his waste, and I'm always standing behind him, and so I get shoes and socks full of dirt and grass and rocks and bits of itchiness that I have to stop and try to dig out while they take off chasing a squirrel up a tree. Also, he's fond of stopping to piss on anthills, and we spent a good bit of the walk stopping so I could wipe ants off his feet then off his nose as he bent down to try and bite them off. But I can't complain, really, because it's sunny and clear and 68 degrees outside right now and there were babies in strollers and little girls chasing ducks and dogs on leashes everywhere. This weather is perfect and I wish it would stay like this forever. Now I'm thinking about what I need to get ready for a cocktail party I'm attending tonight for my sister's friend's engagement. Definitely some nice black pantyhose. It should be fun. This friend knows one million people and parties like a rockstar. © Copyright 2003 elb |
