Blooms

But in this season it is
well to reassert that the hope of
mankind rests in faith. As
man thinketh, so he is.
Nothing much happens
unless you believe in it,
and believing there is hope
for the world is a way to
move toward it.

I'll have you know that I just danced around the living room with Marley in my arms to "Get Right with God."

I think the smell of the rolo brownies I just made for Easter tomorrow went to my head.

Here are some flowers blooming in my backyard. I can't help but love them even though they were planted by my no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-ex-fiancˇ.

pretty

so pretty

I've never been adept at taking self-portraits and this is clearly no exception. Here's how I look today, except that I'm not walking around with this deranged fake smile on my face.

Me! Smiling maniacally!

I also made corny bean dip delight for tomorrow. Black beans, Mexicorn, chopped up tomatoes, red and green bell peppers, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, fresh cilantro. Stir. Eat with tortilla chips. So good.

I got a new CD player for my car today which brings the sum total of money I've spent on that damn vehicle in the past two weeks to an ungodly amount. The only CD I had in my car was Become You, and I blasted it on the way home with the sunroof open, wishing that my sister were there to sing harmony with me.

The sky pours out biblical rain
Then days so still the beauty gives you pain
The heatwave kills the green
And she remains unseen
But colors up my dream
With all things blooming
